Unfortunately we received the wrong order, half of it anyway. We were charged accordingly however instead of receiving the General Tso with white rice we received Sesame Chicken with fried rice. We had just gotten back in town from vacation and did not want to call the restaurant and wait for the order to be redone so we just ate what we received, but I was looking forward to having the General Tso. The food tasted good otherwise and it was a quick delivery.

My family and I LOVE the food at New East Star! The portions are incredible and the food is so fresh, delicious, and light, not greasy at all. I drive round trip 10 miles out of my way for pick up when other restaurants are much closer to me. It is that good! Family owned and they are wonderful people and have great service!

My husband and I have been going to New East Star since moving to West Irondequoit in 2009. The family who run this restaurant are great and work hard to prepare amazing food! The food at NE Star is consistently delicious. Some Chinese restaurants overcook their vegetables and have bland flavors. Fortunately the veggies here are always crisp and fresh and the seasoning is excellent! It's amazing how low their prices are, for $20 you can get yourself a feast! I highly recommend New East Star!!

The pupu platter was not as good as I thought, they were out of stuffed shrimp, and didn't come with chicken wings, they did give 4 crab Rangoon in place of the shrimp. And the fried balls, not sure what they were, where too over cooked.
