Look, the food at Fuji Yama is top notch, but the carry out service certainly leaves something to be desired. I let the server know I was waiting on an online order and she said she would check on it. 20 minutes went by without an update. I asked how much longer and she replied hastily “I don’t know!” And stormed off. I watched the sushi chef BEGIN my order after she went back to check on it. So after a few more minutes (and when things appeared to be near boxed up) I went to the sushi bar to check on it. I informed the server that I placed my order 40 minutes ago, this was excessive. She gestured towards the 5-6 tables in the restaurant and said “Can’t you see we’re busy?!” I have seen this place much busier, it was clear they had not put in my order until I asked for an update. I understand when a restaurant gets busy, I understand when the kitchen gets backed up, but I also understand that communication and a sincere apology goes a long way. You do not place blame somewhere else and you do not act aggravated with your customer. Plain and simple.
