This is our favorite Asian restaurant in town! Authentic, the soup dumplings are exactly the same as you’d find in fine dining Dim Sum in SF. Everything is always hot and done pretty quickly.

Best Chinese in Santa Cruz, the soup dumplings are perfect, very fresh and delicious food. Love the Dim Sum menu as well as the classic dishes with lots of variety.

The staff worked hard and were overwhelmed. I did not mind that it took 2 hours to get my food, but once I got it, it was not what I hoped for. The Mu Shu Pork had not pork, only the cabbage mix. The Combination Seafood, had almost no seafood. The Orange Chicken was over cooked, cold, chicken with a side of what tasted like orange juice concentrate. I would not go back .

This was not a positive dining experience. We ordered 4 items and were disappointed with each of them. Flavors were bland. Ingredients were sparse, especially the shrimp and scallops. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Chicken chow mein and hot and sour cabbage were sooo good. It’s not a huge deal because I live close, but the $35 delivery minimum seems high. Regardless, Shen Fung is my go to for Chinese food.

Both the Ginger Onion Fish and the seafood combo had more vegetables than seafood. The honey wings were good but the taste was a bit strange. The Salted Fish Chicken rice was very good. The Mapo Tofu was strangely savory almost like a perfume and the hot oil was abundant whne normally it doesn't have to be. And the Hong Kong crispy chowmein, the noodles where half burn and the sauce was dark and not tasty. Will try again but it was strangely unfamiliar. I am chinese and did not expect these flavoring at all.

I love this place because they have veggie prawns and veggie chicken that is sooo good. Unfortunately the overall flavor of the food is just ok/edible. Wish I could sub the veggie meats in any dish.
