This restaurant is about 20 minutes from our home, but we occasionally order takeout because it's one of our two favorite Thai options in the area. In this case, we ordered two dinners and appetizers for take out. When my husband arrived, the restaurant staff gave him the wrong order. The restaurant called me to tell me around the same time my husband was getting home with the food, about 15 minute after pickup. My husband then returned to the restaurant (another 15-20 minutes each way). When he arrived, now 30-40 minutes later, the restaurant asked for the additional $10 difference between the orders, which showed no consideration for our inconvenience or the fact that we'd now be served food that had been sitting for at least 30 minutes. As you might expect, the food was not great this time. The mixup was an accident and those happen in restaurants, however the $10 difference should have been a courtesy discount and the food should have been re-prepared given the amount of time it set out. Despite a 1-2 star experience, we provided three stars because it's a small business and we want to be supportive and our previous experiences have been good. However they should be more careful and considerate to customers. The food is usually quite good, just double check your takeout order!
